The effect of the global economic crisis is now being felt even in the Philippines. It has been aired lately that the Intel company based in the Philippines is now arranging their workers separation pays for the company will be closing. Thought the closing date is not yet disclosed, the around 2000 rank and file employees started to look for other alternative source of income.
The Intel Corporation arrived and invested in the Philippines some time ago due to possible reason: a) the Philippines labor force is abundant and Filipino workers produce quality products, b) the cost of production is low compared to other countries, c) the Philippines Government offers a good terms and conditions to investor.
The Philippines is one of the countries in the South East Asia which unemployment is huge, and the ease the growing unemployment rate, the Philippines government is marketing country to interested investors. The 2000 rank and file will be another huge burden to be added on the list of unemployed Filipinos. Hopefully the Philippine Government could look for some adjustments to stop the closing or to create a suitable programs to support the rank and file employees when the closing is implemented.
It is hard to imagine that a company manufacturing a worldwide product which is being patronized all over the world will shut down. Computer as being one of the first products being utilized by companies, schools, shopping malls, groceries and even at home could fall. This is one truly remarkable effect of the this economic down fall.
Hopefully, US President Obama and his cabinet could formulate a reliable solutions to lessen this chaos if not totally end up this global crisis. Everybody in the business community knew how hard this problem is and it will not only take for a year to solve the problem.

“Make Love not War” becomes a maxim because of the idea it represents. But war seems to be already connected to people’s lives. The ongoing war between of Israelites and Palestinians is an obvious presentation of the beginning of the end of the world.
According to the scriptures, the world will end in such a way where people are having wars. So, it might not be the global warming after all, which will lead the world to its destruction. Who knows, only time will tell.
The civilians especially the young the young ones are the most affected when t comes to war. Death tools continue to increase on both parties and it might have been a lucky day when one of the United Nations building was almost struck by a missile. Hopefully the previous meeting conducted by the United Nation Officials could somehow pacify the ongoing war.
It is hard to think that even these days, humans could not make it to reach a peaceful understanding with each other. There are already thousands of millions of written data about wars and its effects to the community and to people within.
With the experiences, ideals and other representations of wars, it should have been long forgotten. War should have been a history where brave people dies for freedom. No one should be dying for a piece of land alone.
Could we not just seat and talk about the benefits our constituents will get from that parcel of of land. Or maybe, can we just make that land a world reserve in which no one from the arguing parties and other countries will have the chance to utilize that land for certain purposes?
I know this is easier said than done, but do we have to kill each other just to solve the problem?

Christmas is one of the happiest occasions Christians are celebrating. This is also one of the most extravagant expenses in the life of a Christian. I am not trying to offend or do convey something else here, but since December is where employees and workers receive their 13th month pay and bonuses, most of us have the capacity to celebrate this family occasion.
It is extravagant in the sense that we need to buy such thing as Christmas decors particularly the lighting where we are not only spending for the bulb but also to the energy it requires on a one month long observation of the Christmas season. Though there are already funds provided for this occasion, the fact that people are even competing to who will be creating the biggest and most beautiful Christmas tree, I find it, extravagant.
Food and drinks are another expenses we could not avoid. Since it is Thanksgiving day, we need to provide as many delicious and mouth watering food as we can to express our deepest gratitude of what blessings we received. This is good, of course, as long as you have the capacity to shoulder the expenses. But spending much while we are still having such payables which need immediate attention but has been forgotten due to the preparation of the Christmas celebration, I think, is another thing that needs fixing.
Love is the essence of celebrating Christmas. But most us, not all of us, but many among us have forgotten what really is the reason why we are celebrating Christmas. Love has been forsaken actually. Isn’t it much better if we give and share some of our blessings to the needy? Have you done so, by giving some amount of some food for those who needed it badly? Have you donated something with out expecting any in return?
It is not yet late. After all, it is still Christmas. Christmas is love and sharing. If you really are one of those believers and you can afford to give one, try to give. After all, gift giving and love should not only be done during Christmas, but it should be done the whole year if not throughout our lives.

Global warming, climate change, melting of the ice and other phenomenal effects that cause the depleting of the ozone layer could no longer deny. The human race is facing a predicted catastrophe.
Though there are already studies to minimize the effects of this climate change, the problem continues to widen that even those species which are living under the deep water are now being affected too.The human race who is the number one responsible for this problem are now promoting all available resource just to control the widening heat effects of the sun.
One of the actions being promoted is by recycling waste products into another useful products which at the same time people who will then perform such recycling will benefit from it.
I have seen an art work made from newspapers, this is called paper-mache. It is not only that the owner is fond of recycling waste materials, he is also expressing his thoughts via his art works. Below is a mask made of paper and according the artist, this is a Nepalese oriented mask.
Hey, this is NOT FOR SALE. If you are interested, you can post a comment or you may want to follow the link. You can find more recycled art works at artbobot. Just mention there you’ve seen the mask on this blog.

Hunting and fishing were the first ways of producing food for the family and the community. Through changes, people invented sophisticated equipments used for fishing and hunting. Today, the two is one of the famous diversions both by elite and middle class individuals.
The multiplying population has trigerred the authorities to formulate laws to regulate hunting fishing. Hunting in particular, due to massive meat consuption and because of the amount of protein available form meat, hunting had been minimized. In fact, in some of the world, hunting is now seasonal. People are not allowed to hunt wild animals in set time. Ths is to let these animal reproduced again before they will be hunted.
Fishing, on the other hand, has almost the situation from hunting. Fishing is also regulated nowadays. In fact, there’s that specific diameter of the fishing net to used in a ccordance to how far a fisherman or a fishing vessel from the shore. This is to protect some other water species not to be caught.
Further, both environment has now being observed due to the fact that the fishing ground has been thoroughly exploited this days. Ths is the reason why laws about endagered species is being strictly implemented.
But because of some uncertainties, humans needs to provide food for thier family and since the sea turtle is long endagered, they have multiplied unexpectedly. In fact, in some part of the Philippines Island, sea turtle are reaturning to lay their eggs. The community in that place is really protectng these creatures.
Since Taiwan and the Philipines are close neighbors, in fact, you can go to and pro for usng an ordinary fishing boat i just a couple of hours. From this scenario, Taiwanese fishermen had seen the abundacne of sea turtle in the Philippine. This had triggered them to catch the sea turtles.
Sea turtle is a good food and good source of protien too, not mention that in Taiwan the sea turtle meat is one thier special menu.
Humans need to survive and this has triggered the Taiwanese fishermen to catch this endangered specie.

The work environment is one place where people find close friends as well as worst enemy. There are also instances that a friendship is broken because of some unavoidable circumstances that both parties arrive at a certain point of no turning back but to sacrifice the friendship.
One factor that obviously destroys friendship is the way how promotions are being deliberated and both friends are competing each other for the position. Well, this is if one of the parties could not be able to handle the pressure or no one is giving up for the sake of the other. Unless, of course, if both will give way because of friendship then this a good way of practicing and observing healthy and friendly working environment.
This part may, in the other way around, will affect the productivity of a certain individual who experience such situation because this will, for sure, take sometime before the hatred inside will cease. Not to mention the possible separation of both parties, the work environment will no longer a good place to into.
This actually one of the reasons why there are such activities like training and seminar for the employees to bridge and a friendly human relation in a certain institution.
Another factor that affects the supposed to be friendly working working environment is the malpractice of proper protocol in the implementation of reports especially in the manufacturing industry where workers need to participate properly in the production of the product.
Being tired and fatigue on work, there are times you could not control the temper and utter some unfriendly remarks to your co-worker. Though it is hard to become cool, this is only the reason for everybody to become productive.

There’s only one thing about cancer, when it is discovered, the situation or the cancer cells are already grown and occupied unthinkable space in the body. The same with global warming or climate change. We can’t deny that the effects now are being felt world wide.
Though it has been announced before when the situation is still not as chronic as today. It looks like nobody can reverse the situation anymore. Today, almost all or maybe all the people around the globe knew already the situation - the earth is suffering from cancer.
Cancer maybe avoided if the are people like Steven Chang who has the edge of informing people about this disease. Mr Chang and his website about cancer treatment has, in any way, contribute something to avoid and/or treat cancer. If you are also in this cancer awareness campaign, maybe you would like to donate some support to make this informative website reach it potential.
I would like also to suggest you do the same with sites about global warming or climate change. Information drive really helps a lot. Earth’s cancer is spreading in a fast pace and such websites should reach all the people. Who knows, maybe that website is only what we are waiting for. No other person who will benefit from this, but us.

The logos are just an example of the these big sites showing support to Earth Day. I’ve been regularly monitoring events about global warming. I started doing it along time ago. In fact, I have submitted articles about it at Ezinearticles.com around 2005, if I’m not mistaken.
Even before, scientists had announced global warming as time bomb and nobody knew when will this bomb explode. Don’t be alarmed, it will not explode tomorrow, but maybe next week or next month or next year. Who knows?
The recent phenomenal events about food shortage, drought, melting of ice, floods and others had triggered a much greater number of individuals who are now aware of this global phenomenon.
The recent energy saving event where there are cities of different countries who participated to turn off lights is an example that people are becoming more aware of the environment.
I have once watched on TV about a Japanese research on disposing CFCs, and it was mentioned there that approximately after 30 to 40 years from now the third world countries could be able to dispose CFCs (or avoid usng CFCs) the proper way by which the ozone layer will not be destructed.
From this view, this Earth Day celebration will somehow prolong the time bomb not to explode in the near future. Hopefully it will reach another 30 or 40 years or even 100 years or more. It’s not only CFC but there are also other factors to be controlled. It so happen that this element is the most harmful to the layer.

Rice is one of the staple food of the world. People somehow take this for granted due to its abundance. But today is different, a rice shortage is happening and this will eventually create another social unrest or worst, uprising especially from people scaled in the lower class in which these individuals are the planting these rices in the fields.
Rice fields where only available and planted only in countries where there’s enough sun and rain. Asia in particular is one of the continent producing rice. Though not all the countries do focus on the production, but I was extremely sad to know that the Philippines as one of rice producing country had forgotten its ample contribution in the rice production.
There are places in the Philippines that people could harvest their crop up to three times in a year. It is still happening today, but the production is no longer sufficient to support the constituents. As stated by a cause oriented farmers organization, “the Philippine Government doesn’t have program to enhance the rice production of the country.” Instead, the government rely on importing rice from other rice producing countries like Vietnam, Thailand to mention some.
Philippines in particular was once exporting rice during the 70’s and early 80’s. In fact, foreign students from Vietnam, Taiwan, Thailand, Japan and other neighboring countries were once studied how to till rice fields in some of the finest agriculture universities and colleges before (70’s and 80’s).
Due to rice shortage, some of the world’s rice producing countries had control their rice exports to sustain the needs of their own people. If this shortage will prolong to another year, these countries might totally stop exporting rice to other countries as well. Who will be affected? Who else do you think? The people who doesn’t have enough money to buy this staple food will be greatly affected and the consequence will be unbearable.
We all know that a “hungry stomach will do anything just to satisfy the tummy and empty stomach sends electronic signals to the brain that may cause the person to act unfavorably just to get that rice to gratify the urgent needs.”
People and countries who produce rice should now act or create laws pertaining to rice developments, enhancements and most especially those fields should not be converted to industrial facility.
I, myself is a rice eater and I can eat rice alone even without viand. Replacing rice with a hum berger in my table will be a major concern for me and so the same to any other individuals out there who are rice eaters too.
